What materials are commonly used in sheet metal processing
   Edit£º¹ÜÀíÔ±   Browse£º175  Date£º2018-04-25

Sheet metal processing refers to the processing of metal plates to obtain the desired appearance, which mainly involves the processing of sheet metal chassis, sheet metal server cabinets, and various mechanical equipment internal structures and chassis sheet metal parts. Many devices in daily life are processed in that way, such as bank registration machines, automatic teller machines, product vending machines commonly used on the streets, and computer and display boxes that are made from sheet metal processing. At the same time, in order to consider the practicality of the product, the plates used in general sheet metal processing mainly include the following categories:

1. Plain Cold Rolled Steel Sheet (SPCC)

Ordinary cold rolled steel plate is a thick steel plate, tube, or sheet material that is continuously cold rolled into a specified wall thickness by a cold rolling mill. The surface layer does not have safety protection and is very prone to oxidation and corrosion. Therefore, safety protection measures such as spraying and electroplating processes should be taken before application.

2. Galvanized steel plate

One type is electro galvanized steel plate (SECC), which is made of thick steel plates through degreasing, acid pickling, passivation, electroplating, and various post treatment processes. It is processable and has excellent corrosion resistance and decorative art appearance. Electrogalvanized steel plate is widely used in the processing of computer sheet metal chassis.

The other is hot-dip galvanized steel plate (SGCC). Hot dip galvanized coil steel refers to the processing of semi-finished products after hot stamping, pickling, passivation, or cold rolling. After cleaning and quenching, it is infiltrated into a solution zinc bath with an ambient temperature of about 460 ¡ã C, and the steel plate is inlaid with a zinc layer. After aging, leveling, and chemical processing, it is formed. SGCC raw material is harder than SECC material, with poor plasticity (design scheme to prevent deep drawing), thicker zinc layer, and poor arc welding ability.

3. Stainless steel

Stainless steel plate has very good physical properties, and stainless steel with different components can achieve different characteristics, so it is widely used in the field of sheet metal processing.
